My dump trailer modification

Here are a few pictures of my dump trailer modification. I added a additional cylinder to assist in dumping. In addition I rebuilt the tailgate so that the two door halves will swing from the sides or it will also pivot at the top to flow from the bottom like a typical dump truck. Oh yeah, I also built a set of ramps for it.

You have added some nice features to your trailer. I have seen contractors haul CUTs in the larger dump trailers. Always seemed like a good dual use to me.

Thanks for all the complements. This is one of several trailer that we have. This trailer was basically useless to me prior to the mods. It would only dump about 8 K and you had to contend with the piss poor design of a tailgate that it had. Now it is almost as functional as my PJ trailer on which all the modifications were modeled after.

We had 14,300 # of DGA on it yesterday evening. It dumped it without hesitation.
