Well, I don't know how long it's been, but I stopped by the former location of Three Rivers Equipment (Sewickley, PA) and they were gone. I called the phone number and was informed they were out of business. The message said that my nearest dealer is now 40 miles away, which isn't so bad for major purchases (as if DDW/CFO/SWMBO would let me anyway! :D), but all I wanted was a 3/4" x 2" clevis pin for the mower deck - Heaven knows how, but I lost one. No wonder it was acting funny the last time I was out.

So try and get one of those beauties! Fastenal - pack of 5, no stock locally, despite having a dozen stores in easy driving distance. Graingers - same deal. McMaster-Carr, no problem, but pack of 5 again, and min 10 on the clip pins. I guess I won't be running out of these for a while! But it's going to cost me $20 plus the wait time...

I guess I should have bought more stuff for my little TC18.

Mine closed too - York County Kubota in York, SC. Very sad, great bunch of guys.

Rick:

Wrong side of the state, my man! We're from the side that has the six-times Super Bowl Champions*! And my dealer was only 10 miles from my place, just off my commute to work, super convenient.

But hang in there, this will turn around.

Yeah, jinman, thanks, but it was just such a small thing; you hate to pay for shipping & wait & all that for a lousy clevis pin...

Best,

Tom

* not that i much give a rip, I just like to get a dig in now and then...;)

When I saw Graingers and McMaster-Carr, I thought you were referring to an online purchase. Surely you could find a suitable substitute, if not an exact replacement, at a local hardware store. A clevis with a 3/4" pin is pretty large, but it's worth a try. Good luck!:)

That's just it, I can't, which is why I was going the on-line route. But there is a Grainger's that I can go by on my way home, provided they have it in stock. Then I'll have plenty of 'em!

Very little waiting with McMaster Carr online purchase - often next day.

Yeah, that's how I think I'll go. Then I don't have to drive anywhere. I called the local Grainger's, they're discontinuing the clevis pin & don't have them locally... Sheesh!
