I spent the majority of today cleaning an old roadway sandwiched between 2 old stone walls of brush. Much of it was pretty nasty, roses, brush with 1 1/2 inch thorns, poison ivy and small trees. I did manage to get torn up some as I had to get out occasionally to clip or chain saw some of the edges, but I can't tell you how glad I was to have the A/C cab and Worksaver Jaws. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

And yes there was a wall!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Next step remove the loam down about 12-18" and bring in gravel. Also a fair amount of wall rebuilding and edge cleanup. Oh well can't use the tractor for everything.

The only thing better than a productive day on the tractor is a productive day on the tractor in air conditioned comfort...and maybe a radio?

I'm still a couple tractor sizes away from A/C and a radio. The beautiful Mrs. Okie says maybe when I'm 80. Till then, I'll just be dreaming, through pictures like yours.

Nice pictures.

Hi, Andy!

Thanks for all the photos. I'm thinking of getting the ATI unit for my little 2800 as I have a project ahead, too. Thank God for our ability to engineer such marvelous things as tractors ! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Great job! I sure envy you your grapple, but heck, I've managed to clear out most of my heavy brush without one, and given a choice, I'd take a rock rake with grapple over the brush grapple.

Tell us more about the area you are clearing. An old road between two rock walls probably has a very interesting story. Do you know when and how it was built? How long is the road? What are your plans for it?

That's the setup I need, if you ever want to practice in Texas and visit Jinman, he's just up the road, then come on down. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
