It's a work in progress, but this is what I came up with. 9" sweeps attached to the T frame I made for my hiller/bedder. 1.5" x 3/16" square tube shanks. I thought I was going to have to weld on additional framework for 2 overlapping rows, but figured out that I could just mount them staggered in front of and behind the tool bar. There's a couple things I have to straighten out. First, the two right shanks are too short. Going to have to buy more square tube and make some more. Second, I have the angle at the bottom all screwed up at the moment, They are 40 deg sweeps and I welded the bottom angle at 30 deg intending to get 10 deg down pitch when the frame was level. Turns out that was the wrong direction and to get the down pitch, I should have cut them at 50.

So... it's back to the store for more tube. I also need one more sweep to complete the row. --Ian

I bought the tube to redo the shanks today. I'll be welding it up one evening this week and I'll post some pics, maybe a video off my cell phone.
