Molten metal, beer and a crowded work area, always a great combination

Can't comment on the choice of beer, because I do not recognize the label.

But it surprised me seeing the aluminized protective jacket and I assume a leather apron. BUT no real protection for the face/head...I would have expected to see at least a face shield too.

Obviously, a very experienced person. But once one loses his eyesight all that goes by the wayside, when the worst case happens.

I suggest you advise your brother to use a face shield. Just decades of working in the steel industry speaking here...

Just think how my sister, a process engineer, thinks about it! I guess my brother's thirty years of experience of not running a OSHA or ISO 9000 approved shop has led him to believe that glasses and a safety squint are just fine. As for myself, I always wear a safety shield, and even then people ***** at how I, a mechanic, do stuff by people who aren't mechanics. Anyway, recent stuff.
