My Beautifully restored 1968 JD 300

Well, bought a used 8' finish mower (LMC 96) and began the restoration. As I was looking for a proper tow tractor, I stumbled on this one 20 miles away. With its super tight turning radius, turf tires, power steering and 43 HP on gasoline, I bought it. Fully restored by a very competent tractor collector. I painted the mower to match since that is basically all it will do. Lots of fun to knock down the grass now!!

Only one problem if it was mine. I would not want to use a showcase tractor like that.

We just mow, clean it and park it in the barn. Not a hard life at all....

How is it on gas?

Well, so far it looks like better that one hour per gallon. I am tracking this tank full so I will have a better assessment when I get the level down enough for a refill worthy of a calculation...
