After almost a year, it's my turn. All my "honey do" projects are done and it's time to make a home for my baby....

This last weekend began the post setting phase of my 16 x 42' pole barn. It will hold the tractor and all my attachments. They really need to be under cover. This past year has taken it toll on the implements.

I will bring more pictures as the project progresses.

Being the proud owner of a 50 X 50 storage shed, I highly recommend you go at least 32 X 42 that way you wont outgrow it so quick
Jim:)

Will you have door at each end?...for that will be handy instead of moving attachment to get another attachment etc..

Looking forward to finally pics.

It's going to be all open sides. The one end will be for backing in the tractor and all the attachments will come in from the sides. I have 4-8' bays and 1-10' bay on each side. This way I can place 10 attachments in from the sides without have to move anything. It won't be a working pole barn just a tractor parking spot.

More pictures are coming today.

Several nights last week we worked on the main structure. It's going to be over built but I want it heavy and want it to last. I used 6x6PT posts and put them about 3' in the ground and top the holes with concrete. The band and all the cross beams are also PT6x6 and everything will be tied together with some custom made steel brackets. I have to get the custom steel brackets in there because that's what I do. Steel fabricated truck bodies that is....

Next will be a 4/12 pitch roof using PT2x6's attached to a PT2x8 ridge beam. Then some roof slat and top it all off with a green tin roof. Not a real big project but something I really wanted to get to before all my toys get faded and rusty.

Is it possible to get a close-up of yur brackets? They look pretty stout from what I can see. Especially the corner brackets.

We cut them out of 3/16" steel plate with our CNC Plasma table at work. The corners are bent from one piece and all have a 1 1/2" lip bent on the gusset side. They are stout. I could have go by with 1/8" but I went for the heavy stuff. Over kill maybe, but I like the look.

Attached photo is the drawings from our CAD system.
