I have a 2005 Kubota B21 TLB. I puchased it used with 99 hours on it in October of 2008 and it now has 127 hours. It has run wonderfully since then, but all of a sudden it refuses to turn over. I attemped to charge the battery using a trickle charger, and that did not help. Then I attempted to jump start it using my Ford Explorer. That did not work either. When I turn the key to the first position, the dash lights indicating the glow plugs are receiving power come on, and I hear a click as before, but when I turn the key to the second postion nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas for me????

Hydrostatic tramsmission with foot control?

Possible solution:

Here's a possible scenario...Look to the HST pedal as the culprit. There is a safety switch there. The B7800 is notorious for this issue. It oftentimes fails to return to the neutral position and the tractor sees this as a (safe) failure in the off position. Rock the pedal either with your foot or by hand to find the neutral position of the safety switch. Patience, as a tiny bit of movement or a lot of movement can return it to it's required position. Press it several times front and/or rear, allowing it to find the sweet spot. It can take a few tries (or more).

Or check the safey switch under the seat.

Or a gearshift lever or a PTO lever that is not in a full neutral position.

Or the clutch safety switch.

Take the battery in to have it tested. Most likely, you have a dead cell, or two.

Check to make sure the clutch is depresed. Jiggle it a little; my B8200 clutch switch was out of adjustment; It would not start unless I jiggled the pedal. A little minor adjustment fixed that. Make sure all the other levers are in thier neutral position(mine is a 1985 - it only has a safety switch on the clutch).

If you are getting at least something(click, clack sound), then start by cleaning and checking th battery connections, and the connection at the starter. Also check that the battery has some charge. That is a 4 year old tractor; battery may be marginal or bad.

If you throw a battery charger on it, what does the meter on the charger say?

As mentioned above check all the safety switches.

I have the same tractor when i move the key to first position it clicks, the next position the glow plugs come on. This is with me not pushing in the clutch. Try moving the PTO lever as well, even if it is already disengaged.

To start a B21 the HST pedal has to be in the middle, the PTO lever has to be all the way up (disengaged) and the clutch must pressed. I had problems until I figured this out.
