Thanks Ken, I appreciate it!

Man that's a mess of wires.

I'd get a double insulated wire, and try to run anything exposed thru split or spiral loom.

14awg is pretty good for anything but the charge wire.. and 8 is fine for that.

I make my own harni anymore.. ckts are soooooooo simple I can't bring myself to pay for wires with ends and elect tape on them when i can make the same at home..

Well Soundguy, that's my plan. I bought the actually ignition switch to go on it. The thing doesn't even have one now, they wired a toggle switch for offroad lights in as the ignition switch, but it just hangs. I'll get a picture of the mess. The wiring diagrams are in the service manuals aren't they? I've got the books up at the cabin where the tractors sits.

Once I fix this it might get the fuel gauge to work again, it constantly read 5/8 full.

Do know if there is a wire type/rating for exterior use so the coating doesn't deteriorate from the sun? Some of this stuff is vaporizing and some of it looks like it's ready for another decade outside.

Nice looking tractor Julian. Was wondering if you could post a close up picture of the exhuast. I've never seen one run that way. Curious to see how they did that. Also is that a heat shield around it?

Hello Petra79, thanks for the compliment. I don't have many pics that focus on the exhaust, but here is one that shows the heat shield. Right behind the heat shield the exhaust has a car muffler that looks like a thrush or some other hot rod muffler style. Here is one that I do have:

Thanx Julian. First time I've seen one routed like that. Pretty neat. Bet it sounds great with the Thrush on there.

Is that a factory routed exhaust and air intake? My 961 just has a grille on the side of the hood where yours has the vertical air intake. Is yours still an oil bath cleaner or a paper element?
Thanks

I know the exhaust is not factory. It either went forward and down or forward then up. His puts the exhuast behind the heat sheild for the gas tank. Mine goes up (861) Not sure on the air cleaner.

The breather is the glass bowl with paper element style.
In this pic you can also see a little bit of the brackets that hold the heat shield on to the exhaust. It does not look or feel like something someone made in their garage. I assume this was something else liberated from the industrial unit donor of the ROPS and canopy. I don't really know for sure. The unit was modified at least two owners before me, so I couldn't get any real info on it other than I like the way the exhaust is done.

Haven't really been around any industrial models so it may be possible that it was from one. Just don't seem right. Like I said, it brings it behind the heat sheild for the gas tank. Evidently its not causing you any trouble like it is and your happy with it. I think its kinda unique like that. One of a kind (maybe). Thanx for posting the picture.
