Well after one weekend of cutting in food plots without a canopy it did not take me long to figure out I would push the purchase of a one to the top of my wishlist. I could not believe how dang hot that black seat could get, I believe I could have fried an egg on it.

After looking around online and checking prices from $200 to $600 I decided I could this myself.

1 used golf cart top $30
2 sticks of 1/8x1x1 angle iron, 2 square u-bolts and misc bolts $40
3 hrs of fab and installation
Black paint, already had it

All done, serves the purpose, and actually looks pretty decent.

I would post pics but I am a newbie to site and dont have that feature, guess there is a minimum on post before you get to upload pics or either I am just overlooking it.

You need ten posts before you can post a picture. Just reply 8 times to this thread, then post up the pics. It may help someone in the future to do what you did.
I can’t imagine even running an open station tractor for more than an hour without a canopy.

Had to go to full site on my mobile to get the attachment feature. 8B153FF9-1763-4D78-AEFD-84B843681ACC.jpegC900E7DC-13D9-4234-A33B-BE97D2E84BE2.jpeg658EF709-3191-4A5A-B0F2-0597BDEFDB7B.jpeg

My local golf cart company turns standard carts into utility vehicles. They sell them for $10. 12 for $100. Replaced the tops of my 2 carts but have no idea what to do with the extras, but could not pass up a bargain.

Thinking of a top for a tow-behind grass catcher, a shade for patio chairs, top for a generator house. Come and get 'em.

Got it from local golf cart dealer, southwest Georgia.
