Price Check MX6 Price

I have a 4300 and just a use a 5' cutter. I also have some VERY steep hills--as in can barely climb with industrial tires and 4WD--and then usually only backing up the hill. On the steep parts the engine does start to slow down a bit..but I can make it "over the top" and still cut some high grass. But on that area I have long since gotten rid of true brush so the mower doesn't really have to cut nasty stuff. I would LOVE a 6' cutter but couldn't do it here because of the hills. Besides the potential weight problem I think a 6' would be great...let us know if that MX6 works...I'd love to have one but a bit out of my price range sadly /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Both the MX6 and LX6 are on order, it'll be a couple weeks, and then the big test.

Just got off the phone, the LX6 should be here in a couple days, or so. Some of you seem to think I was actually going to try the MX6!! (So did I...)

Well maybe not that far back...

I want a new mower, and I had this crazy idea to ask my dealer if there was anyway to get an mx6, on my 4310. He said I was crazy, of course it would work,

So everyone on tbn, especially messick, told me I was nuts, I need an LX6. So I call the dealer and order an LX6, he says I am nuts and that he is ordering me an MX6.

So I call today and they tell me I am getting an LX6 anyday.

Makes sense, right?

OK, Saga continues!

I pick up the LX6, and take it to RockyRidge. The owners manuals indicate I need a bazzillion pounds of front ballast, so I remove my loader, and run up and down the Ridge with no ballast at all and the mower all the way up in the air. Its not even back there, NO FRONT END LIGHTNESS WHATSOEVER.

(And hardly any noise when it runs, either...)

But those 3.5mm (1/8") skirts have us worried, so we're gonna try the MX6!

Now, I did manage to get the fronts to leave terra firma with the LX6. I even had 450 lbs, of ballast to boot. With the cutter raised and going up a pretty significant grade, up went the wheels.

The ballast was all on the mower. Adding ballast to the front solved the problem, next will be the MX6.

How far did you wheelie?? Did you make it over the crest of the hill? Just keep adding power and pedal. I bet with the MX6 you can break the 4310 wheelie distance record.
No fare using the tailwheel on the mower to help balance.

Whatever you do, don't forget the video camera when you get the MX6 hooked up. No sense breaking any records if you can't back them up with proof....Hahaha

I had my MX6 delivered today and it's great. I had no problems transporting it with the only counterweight being the loader and 4-in-1 bucket. It does add a ton of length... almost 10 feet... with the loader on that is one long tractor. Not sure how that compares to the LX6.
