MX5200 HST and Trans filter change

I know people do that but the vacuum is very hard on the lip seals in the gearbox.
There would almost have to be range of pressure drops depending the the shop vacuum itself, how good the seal is to the transmission filler port, and backflow from the transmission case vent.

I've never looked at lip seals to see what they can handle in back pressure. Someone probably knows.
But using a vacuum is a clever technique and probably worth some thought about just how much pressure drop is actually needed to do the job without damaging the seals.

Been my experience that the lip seals are very pliable but designed to keep the fluids in. Why it's something I never do.
