The
M4900 and
M5700 are essentially the same tractor. The lifting capacities, hydraulic pump GPM, etc., specs are about (if not) the same. The
M5700 has slightly larger tires giving it just a bit more ground clearance and the motor turns at a higher RPM giving a little more HP. You really aren't getting more tractor for your money by buying a
M5700 over the
M4900. But, if your dealer is giving you a
M5700 for the price of a
M4900 - then it is well worth it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
If you think you might need a bigger tractor then a
M4900, seriously consider moving to a
M6800.
In my mind, the best deal out of the bunch is one you haven't mentioned - the
M4900.
Can't really help you on a price for a
M4900, but we recently bought a
M6800, FWD, hydraulic shuttle shift, canopy, two sets of remotes, FEL w/quick attach, skid-steer bucket w/teeth, and ag tires for $31,000.
