I'm looking at the MX4700 right now. Same motor on each the 5100 just has turbo; something else to break and not needed below 4000 feet elevation. The easy hitch 3point hitch arms are nice but not essential. I have a concern about the hydraulic PTO with break but I can live with it.

Question for y'all from a first timer: Does anyone have experience with the MX 4700/5100 and the Kubota BH 92 Backhoe attachment? I want one but don't know if it will hold up to real work.

Cheers form Joelton, TN.

The BH92 is beefy however it's not a commercial unit. What type of work do you consider, 'real work'? I'm planning on getting the MX5100 with BH92 as the 5100 is more available around here (local dealers are not ordering the 4700). I know it will do 99% of the work on my property that involves stumps, big stones, etc. without issues. The only thing it will not do is build the big fish pond I want as that's a job for a dozer and excavator IMHO. If you are concerned about the MX4700 with BH92 as you plan on doing a lot of BH work then I suggest you consider the L45. Without the thumb you should be able to get an L45 for another $4-5k.

The m4700 turned into the m5100 and It has turned into the m7040 more ground clearance, more lift capacity, more power. I have only put 7 hours on it and it will do the job that i want. So I am now the proud owner of a m7040 front end loader, grapple and the third button for the grapple. The third button is great. The power is awesome.

Congratulations, you need to start a new thread announcing the arrival and don't forget pictures are pretty much mandatory.

This pictures of my faithful old Case 885 Still running strong, probably going to sell it, as i do not need two.
And Pictures of my new one, I am adding some more steel in front of the fuel tank and in front of the clutch adjustment rod. The new tractor is a m7040 dt to good of a deal to pass up.
It has power above power and I think that it will handle any thing that I want to do.
