Mustang 910 skid steer

I just acquired a mustang 910 skid steer.it has a 15 hp 3tn66e yanmar engine.this machine has not run in 8 years.besides putting diesel in this thing.any advice on tips to get this engine ready to start.also does anyone have knowledge of this machine.it has hand grips which I assume makes the machine go back in forth.or the pedals for moving the bucket or do I have it backwards.any help would be appreciated.thanks John in texas

I don't know of any Yanmar tractors with that engine. I think some of the F series have those 3tn engines but maybe not the 66.

I just bought a 920 mustang skid steer. the t handle is for the drive, forward is forward back is back, turn the t handle it turns, like a steering wheel. left pedal is for arm and right is for bucket. I would change the engine oil at least, clean out the fuel system (fresh diesel). put a new battery in it and see what happens. The one I bought had not run in years, got it fired up in a hour. Glow plugs weren't working. Unfortunately there is not much info out there on them.

Does yours have a solenoid for the glow plugs near the engine or just a preheat button? Mine has a solenoid but it's not hooked up I cant figure out how it was supposed to work unless its back feeding threw switch but why even put the solenoid in there...
