Now that I am retired, I rarely carry my cell phone except when I go to town grocery shopping and then only because the wife usually calls for me to pick up something that she wants that isn't on the grocery list. If the wife is with me, it is a necessity just to find her when we are in a large store. Sometimes I think she watches me to catch me looking at something then breaks into a run to go hide somewhere. That is the majority of use I get from a cell. At home we don't answer if we see "unknown" on the caller ID or if we don't recognize the number, that seems to cut down on the scammer calls when you don't answer for a long time.
Used to PO me big time when we had to pay by the minute of usage and got a wrong number or scam call using up my minutes, now it is just annoying as he!!. I am sure glad the phone company started the unlimited minutes, what with 5 kids and 7 grandkids plus friends in several different states and foreign countries, the wife spends about 5 hours a day on the phone with them. Me I talk to 2 of my sisters about once a month and that is about it.
