Now I need to check my CX engine tag and see if it is also uses the larger displacement engine, the owners manual states it has the 3A165LWH-U3, 1647cc/87cu and for kicks I ran the 1647 through cubic inch converter and it states 100.5 not 87 as the manual states.
I had investigated the smaller engine at time of purchase and found they had used it in a 27 or 28 hp machine and figured if I needed more power I could turn it up a bit. This info makes me think it can be turned up alot. Seems I remember a Kubota model they were turning up as the engine was derated but was used in a higher hp application.
