That is a very interesting idea. Did you have the c- channel on hand to make the digger? Is that 3" channel x 1/4" wall ?, Have you ever checked into a fixed bucket minihoe like Lackender offers?

Thanks, yes its 3" channel with the 1/4" wall. I did have it on hand, but had to do a little cutting and shaping with a metal cutting wheel, since I don’t have a metal cutting saw. I have checked into a real working Mini Hoe kit, not the fixed. Even though I like yours better with the angled boom. This will do me.

Scroll down to the Cat Digger model 408. This is the one I may go with. Without the skid steer back plate, shipped to this address they quoted me a price of somewhere around $ 690.00 that's without the cylinder and a 12" inch bucket. I may shop around for my own cylinder.

After I get all of my plug- in attachments made for my existing tubes. I will get serious about the mini hoe. I'm hoping to get some advice from you, and J.J. for the rest of the setup when the time comes.
