Mulching Kit or Bagging System BX 2660

Hi. Am taking delivery of my used (131hr) BX2660 with 60 inch MMM and dealer installed FEL this week. Based on what I have read on these boards I have on order BXexpanded Phirana bar, forks and bucket hooks. To gain buy in from the significant other I need to get either a bagging system or a mulching kit. Looking at the cost of and hook up/take down of the bagging system is making the mulching package much more attractive. Dealer said they could install the mulching kit for 200 dollars plus the price of the kit. I have 2 acres to mow.
Here are my questions: Is the installation of the mulching kit difficult as this could be a nice winter project? And what experience do others have with the performance of mowing with the mulcher. I figure it means I will need to mow more often but I think she will quickly take over that task after jumping in the seat.

Welcome to TBN.I am not sure if your deck is like mine but I bought the mulching kit for the 54 inch fine cut deck on my BX2360.It was 200 dollars and was basically three mulching blades and a molded piece of black plastic that goes up under the deck and is held in place with two bolts.In hindsight I should have inquired more about it as I assumed,incorrectly so,that it would be a plate to block the discharge chute and would be easy to put on and off.Because it is a PITA to install I have never used it.I know I wouldn't pay 200 dollars to have someone install it,IF it is the same as yours.

Thanks, the dealer mentioned the kit contained different blades and a baffle system that needed to be installed. He said it would take the tech 2 hours of labor.

I am not a mechanic but I can't see it taking 2 hours.It is not really a hard job,just about anybody should be able to do it.Probably the hardest part would be getting the nuts off that hold the blades on.It's your money but I would install the kit myself.
