Mulch Plug

Does anyone use their mulch plug? I have never used mine. I had a Craftsman that had a mulch plug. I wasn't impressed with it at all. It seemed like it would just clump amd clog. I know the deck had to be set high for it to be effective just cut the tips of the grass. I tried that too and the grass looked like I just drove over it.
I like my grass cut short. I use 3 or 4 on my Cub. My view is either blow it or bag it.

Used my mulch plug twice did excellent job, deck set on 3. had never used one to mulch before. Make sure grass is dry before mowing.

I use my mulch plug on my 44" for the fall cleanup of leaves. You will be amazed on how well it will pulverize the leaves into dust that blows away.
I never need to bag leaves, and I cover acres doing this very quickly...

The best method is to have a helper blow the leaves in a row so you can just pulverize and be done....I use the 44" really just for that - I use the 50" for lawn cutting only...the 48" is just a spare for my 3204 (3000 series)
