I bought an mte 2000d with 1200 hrs on it, and I was pushing a little brushing the yard today and lost all clutch pressure. I have to press it to the floor and it still grinds gears. Where do I need to start.

Welcome to TBN. I too have an MTE2000D. Had it 10 years and its been a great machine. I would start with making some adjustments on the linkage. If you look under the floor board, you will see the pedal is connected to a threaded rod/yoke assembly that runs to the clutch linkage on the side of the trans/bell housing. Take some of the slack out of ( tighten) that and see if it helps.
Had you noticed any clutch slippage slowly occurring recently? Hate to say it but if you can't get any clutch back this way, you are probably looking at splitting the tractor and replacing the clutch. I did mine at probably around 11-1200 hrs. An easy weekend job by yourself w/basic tools. A new pressure plate, disc, pilot bearing and throw out bearing should be $250 or less and once you have the machine torn down that far it's always a good idea to replace all the parts at this point. An I & T manual for Mitsubishi MT180-MT300 tractors is a great resource to have for any 2000D owner and I recommend getting one whether you tackle this job yourself or not. Manuals available from many places online (ebay probably cheapest...seen them anywhere from $8-$35). It is not 2000D model specific but it is close enough that it covers almost all issues. These machines are very similar to Case IH 254/255's with the exception of engine model ( k3F Mit vs K3E CIH...also very similar engines) and small details so CIH 254/255 online parts diagrams from places like http://www.messicks.com/CaseParts.aspx can be of help also.
