I recently bought a Mitusbishi MT250D. It came with turf tires on the rear and ag tires in the front. I'm trying to locate a set of wheels that will allow me to have ag's all-around, and have a few questions about sizing. But first, what I have currently:
My first question is: what was the size of the original ag wheels and tires? According to tractordata.com, it came with 10-24 wheels in the rear, and 5.00-15 wheels in the front, but I'm not sure if that front wheel size is for the 2WD model only, and don't know what the final tire diameters were.
My next question is about the ratio between the front and rear tire sizes (to prevent transmission damage in 4WD). The current ratio is 24/38, or 0.63 - does anyone know if that is close to correct?
Does anyone make a 13.6-16 tire that is the same diameter as the turf tire I have now, but has a more aggressive (industrial or ag) tread pattern? I haven't seen anything on the internet, but maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.
I know that some parts for these older tractors can be hard to find - does anyone know of any other tractor models that have compatible wheels in case I can't find any Mitsubishi wheels?
Thanks for your help,
Toby
- it has 13.6-16 wheels in the rear (according to the markings on the tires, and I've confirmed the diameter at 16" measuring the outside of the rim minus the flange), with the turf tire being about 38" tall
- it has 6-14 wheels in the front (again, according to the markings on the tires, and the diameter confirmed at 14"), with the ag tires there being about 24" tall
