s637 F10 (P0340) - Cam signal learn fault
Context:
The Engine Control Unit (ECU) A-009 monitors the camshaft position sensor B-006. The ECU A-009 uses this data
to adjust fuel injection control to maintain proper power levels. If the camshaft position sensor B-006 circuit becomes
open or shorted, this fault will occur. Because of this fault, the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration control will
stop, an increase in engine speed and a reduction in engine torque may occur.
Cause:
The camshaft position sensor B-006 signal is out of range.
Possible failure modes:
1. Faulty camshaft position sensor B-006, internal failure.
2. Faulty camshaft position sensor B-006 circuit wiring, open or shorted.
3. Faulty ECU A-009, software or hardware
