MT210D tractor hydraulic filter

Does anyone know of a place to get new/used hydraulic filters for an MT210D tractor? The previous owner cut out the fine mesh part on mine

I don't want to spend $115 on a new one if I can avoid it, at least until I know the rest of the tractor is fine.

Why do people do that. If it is clogged it's doing its job eh.
My only idea would be to hit a hydraulics place to see what generic screen they might have to retrofit something. Maybe surplus center?
I like the tractor store in eugene oregon but i suspect similar pricing to what you found.

Called and talked to a local hydraulic place. He recommended running without the mesh. "if you put good clean fluid in, there's really no way for it to get dirty." :confused3: Really? Then where did all the grey gunk on the bottom of the transmission case come from? (had a broken gear in the transmission, so it all got torn down to repair)

He did tell me a place that may have some brash mesh on hand, so I'll try them in the next few days.
