LS MT125
Hi everyone,
So I have a MT125 with the BH attachment and am trying to put a box grader on for driveway work. I found a decently priced box but when i asked about picking up a 3pt hitch they gave me a price of $400 before shipping. And I was thinking it was going to be about the same price as the ones I saw online for Kubotas Sub Compacts ($270). But the more I looked at them the more I think they're cross compatible, but no one i've spoke with can give me a answer. So I figured I'd look to you guys and see if any of you have any ideas or experience using Kubotas 3pt hitch on the LS MT125?

A 3ph is not a 3ph.
Now that may sound stupid!
But consider that in the subcompact category of tractors you have 3 options on the 3ph category.

These are
•Cat 0
•Cat 1 Limited
•Cat 1
With very little overlap between the Cat 0 and Limited and very little overlap between the Limited and the Cat 1. For the most part, these are 3 different 3ph systems.
Cat 1 Limited and Cat 1 share pin sizes as I understand while Cat 1 Limited and Cat 0 are close in pin spacing but use different pin sizes.
When purchasing implements (and QH systems) you need to match your tractors 3ph category and the implement category.
Hope this clears up some mud.

Thank you it certainly does help. from what I am looking at both are Cat 1 3ph's so for all intents and purposes i think they should be compatible. other than some of the quirks of the LS 3ph system which I have read up on enough to believe it will work. I will double check my manual and listing to make sure they are indeed the same Cat.

For most implements, you should be able to get connected with no issue. I have my lift arms rigged so I can pull them up out of the way when I use the BH and drop them back down easily. I have to remove the stabilizer arms though.

For a box blade, you want to check the weight and make sure it's within your lifting limits. As long as it is and you can open the lifting arms wide enough, you should be OK. The only other issue would be the diameter of the pins.

The Box blade I purchased is 5ft and is a lighter build than the LS branded one (but has the same bells and whistles). now the part that worries me is the manuals states 50 in. for the box blade max but the guy at the LS dealership said it would be fine so I'm taking his word for it but if it does go wrong it should be covered by him.

Fuggedabout those quick things. More of a headache, may not fit right, moves the load back which might reduce capacity.

If your dealer said something, get it in writing, even just in an email might help. Lift arms wider might also reduce lifting capacity or add stress at bad places.

You did not get the 3 point set up on your MT125 when you purchased it?
The 3 point stuff COMES WITH the tractor..... the BH is extra. I would be calling the dealer and demand the parts he "forgot" to give you with the tractor!

---- disregard if you purchased it from an individual. Either way, if you have to purchase the components, GET THE LS ONES THAT BELONG ON THE TRACTOR. There are too many subtle differences between brands.... some may work, others may break something expensive!

Its kinda a fubar place i work at, i was fairly certain we had a 3 pt. around but ive searched high and low for it but havent been able to find it. There's a very senile man living on property so he likely did something with it and doesn't remember.

But good news! the parts came in and everything seems to work well i think i need some spacers along the bottom bar to hold the arms in place but other than that and some minor adjustment work it seems to work well.
