I can see it from my roof top. Its at 8,500 foot level already

I guess they predicted it from the last earthquake that it would effect Mt St Helens.

Well I guess this is going to have an effect on weather patterns for another year. I wonder if it is going to be unusully colder, maybe more precipitation than normally otherwise. Maybe we're in for another short term ice age. The last time it erupted it caused a real change in the weather for a year after if I'am correct in my memory. I think I'll try and upgrade my snowblower for a bigger one. I may be using it into next summer.

I'll be working just north of St. Helens on monday and you can bet I'll be watching the news before I leave. I'm working in an area that's about 8 or 9 miles from the crater and should be interesting if the mountain gets anymore active. Today's little puff wasn't much, but I'll definitely be keeping my eyes wide open.
