Mr Snake met Mr Shovel

We have a bunch of water moccasins, and rattlers around here too. I kill everyone I see, and enjoy going out in the evening with a shotgun and a box of shells to thin them out a bit, every now and then!!

Ya did good Cajunrider!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Snake fears, I just dont get it
//
With some it is heights, tight places, etc. Snakes and spiders do however seem to be almost universally feared...hmmm
I do know some large macho men that would rather face a gun than a snake. We are all a bit wierd in one way or another I guess.
And remember SOME snakes are deadly. I can never remember the red and yellow kill a fellow or however it goes. So in while living FL I killed all the round banded ones I saw. I am sure some innocent snakes died, but ..oh well....
Had a black snake that lived in my front shrubs for about 5 years. I sometimes did not need a doorbell as the screams were well heard /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Steve,

Never mind the snake, tell me about the Axis hide. I've shot one myself and had it full mounted. They are truly the most beutiful of all the deer species.

I HATE it when the little s**ts stir paint you don't want stirred, too! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hope you get your tractor out of the deal though.

I found out that a 30" section of 2" sched. 40 steel pipe will also work to cut a snake in two. As I was busy laying the electric line to our boat house last year, I came upon a copperhead on the trail. This piece of pipe was the only thing handy to me. Took good aim and chunked it like a spear at his head. I guess I was extremely lucky, cause his head ended up inside the pipe along with about 6" of dirt. His body did not go along.
