Never before I has been in none forum, I am starting to participate and thanks a lot for help me. I have a New Holland LS 180 year 2004 my first question is: The gear oil transmission 80W-90 applied is different to Hydraulic oil W 68 applied to the pipes and hoses and what difference has. The second question is if it is different where is the place for refill. And please excuse me for my English writing. Cordially Juan F

welcome to this forum Juan. I can't help you with your question. do you have an owners manual? i would try to locate a LS dealer and call their service department. i also think there will be members on this forum that can answer your question. The dealership would be my 1st start.

Juan - welcome to TBN and the forum. I do not know the exact weight of your hydraulic oil nor your gear oil for your front axle. Your dealer will be able to help and should be able to get a new operator's manual if yours is gone.

Your hydraulic oil is USUALLY checked and filled on the rear of the transmission. The transmission cap/plug will usually have a dip stick attached to check the hydraulic oil level.

OK - the only 80W-90 gear oil will be the lube in the front axle housing and outboard reductions gears. The fill/check cap/plug will usually be located on the top on one side or the other of the front axle. Most times this cap/plug will also have a dip stick attached to check the gear oil. If your tractor has outboard reduction gears - the fill/check cap or plug can be a bit more difficult to find. An operator's manual will provide a picture - makes finding much easier.
