Greetings,

I recall a thread on this a while back but couldn't find it, so...

I've heard that you should wait until a certain date/period in the summer before mowing your fields in order to avoid destroying ground nests of game birds et al. Can anyone tell me when that might be (I'm in south central PA)?

Thanks,

Rod

Rod,

I am sure this is an area thing. If I was you I would check with the DNR or even some of the local clubs like Pheasants Forever. In fact our local pheasants forever will even help buy pine trees for your back yard for the pheasants. DNR just do a search for them "Department of Natural Resources (your state). Should pop right up for y ou.

Hope this helps you.
