I have an IH 18hp mower, 48" deck, three blades, and if the grass is high enough to need mowed, it always (and always has) leaves two strips of unmowed grass an inch or so wide. I have replaced blades, bearings, even the deck to no avail.
I asked the previous (original) owner, he said, "That's why I sold it."
The three blades are nearly in a straight line. My previous mower had the blades in more of a triangle form, had more overlap in the cutting path.
Some designs just never should make it to the showroom.
Sure like to find something that didn't require mowing everything twice.
