Mowers, MMM or 3 pt. Does it really matter?

I recently took delivery of my new BX23 and instead of the MMM I opted for the Walco/Douglas 60" rear discharge 3 pt mower. the company states that not only will it perform like a finish mower, but land reclamation and rough mowing is possible with it too. I haven't really used it much yet, but what little I have used her, I have been thoroughly impressed.
This thing is a tank! (weighs 400+ lbs.) and is pretty simple to hook up and run. Plus, the sound this thing makes is pure poetry. I can almost hear it suck the field mice right out of their burrows as you pass overhead!
Has anyone had anything similar to use and what should I be careful of or take into consideration? For what this thing cost I'd hate to think I took a hosing.

Long as you dont have close quarters it should be fine. At that weight I would be cautious about the center of gravity on slopes, could be hard to stop going downhill if it got away from you.

The MMM is nice for getting up close to buildings and fence lines. Be careful with the 3PT mower when makeing those turns.

I have a 3PT because I didn't want the MMM hanging up on anything. I have a bad habbit of going where I really shouldn't. I've now busted my second grill in two years.

I use a 5' Beefco RFM rear discharge to cut field grass does a nice jo as long as you don't let the Grass get to high. but like i said it is a field and from the road it looks fine. just watch the turns if you have to go around anything.
