Mower belt

I got a old cub cadet mower from a friend and it needs a deck belt, i cant find the size anywhere, can anyone help, its a 1320 w/kohler moter, a 38in deck, model 131232100, ser. 193316, deck serial #346254, also on the deck is 38lt and 441190, i tried the cubcadet website to no avail, any help woul;d be appreciated. i just need the length.

do you have the old belt?

If so you should be able to take it to any decent belt supplier and they should be able to measure it for you.

There are also some cub-cadet only forums out there that have some very knowledgeable people that would be able to help you.

Search around in your area for an Old Cub Cadet Dealer. Most of them have old hard copies for the parts on the old cub stuff.

The new dealers will have the electronic stuff and a lot was lost when moving from hard to electronic.

Ill figure sumpin out, dont have old belt, dont wanna wait till monday for a dealer, who wont tell me size but will order one at a nice price. thanks for input

There is a trick with wrapping a string around the pulleys to find the needed length but there is more to it than that. I read it somewhere but I've never had to do it so I don't remember. Search around on the internet... you may find it.

This video shows how to measure a belt.

Since you don't have the old belt, you will need to use the string method shown around the outside of the pulleys to get the circumference length. You will also need to measure the pulley width. Napa should then be able to hook you up with a belt.

Thank you! I didnt have the old belt but i had a extra long belt and strung it and marked it, it'll get me close. The parts store is close so i can make a few trips to get a good fit. Appreciate all your help..
