Keep an eye out for a crusty small cheapo used dump trailer solely for this and any other smalls delivery you might get then make it dependable.
It doesn't take much of a trailer ie; condition, paint, size to accomplish this.
If this takes off enough to warrant the investment in a newer trailer you can step up👍

Not a bad idea. It would have to be able to dump with tailgate down so the bale doesn’t fall and possibly pop the strings though.
I think the dump truck will sell (hopefully). Only have a finite amount of room to store equipment.
Then God willing, the dump trailer. Will miss the dump truck, but its’ duty was fulfilled.

I'll say it again. Have a second vehicle out in the pasture (customer?) - attach a strap to that (as anchor point) and slowly drive away. Easier than pushing it off by hand.

This is a new customer. I don’t know if they’d be ok with that. It’s possible, that could be done and be perfectly fine. I am taking all suggestions under advisement. Thank you for your persistence.

I would look for a small used dump trailer, if you get the customer. My Big Tex 14TD dump trailer is really low to the ground when raised up, almost drags the ground. The bale wouldn't hit very hard when it did slide out, wouldn't bust the strings. If you had the 2 bales inline you could dump one, pull forward a bit till it cleared the bed, and then lower the bed with the other one still in the trailer. Then move and dump it where you need it.

You can’t dump a dump trailer like that. The tailgate hits the ground and folds up when it dumps. The dump trailer bed is almost on the ground when it’s raised anyway.

Yeah but by then it will be at enough angle to slide the bale out and it’ll act like a ramp so it won’t fall and split.

Yeah, that’s why I want one! Even with a tailgate, opened like barn doors, it won’t fall far.

I've seen dually (pickup) flatbeds with a hay spear on the back, one bale on the spear, and another one in front of that, not sure how the front one got up there, or how they get it off ...

Get an old cotton bale truck ... They pickup and drop of on there own conveyor ...
