Hello I have a quick question, I find the location of the joystick on the BX's is in an awkward and inconvenient position, especially when you have to move it into the right indent position with a cab and have to open the door to put it in that position. I have thought about welding a longer rod onto it and bend it down so it sits more like a joystick that is by your side but not sure if it would work with the dump and curl positions. Or if I could relocate or install a different one that sits more by my side (kind of like a bobcat's joystick.) Any thoughts whether or not any of those ideas would work?
Thanks in advance.

Is your stick a remote type, (cable valve control), that stays with the tractor if you were to remove the loader..?
If it is then you can place it almost anywhere, just remember that lengthening the stick requires a Larger space for full travel ... shortening the stick will allow you to operate in a smaller space... KennyV

As Kenny states, shorter stick, shorter throw. Maybe that is all you need to do is shorten it. There was a post that someone did that on their BX.

There is an old post where several people pulled knob, cut shaft and stuck knob back on. I was going to do mine but just never got around to it. Think about it every time I need to get off of my tractor on the controller side.

I cut about 5" off my BX2660 control; very easy to do and it is now not nearly as much in the way and allows me to more easily enter and exit on the right side.

Yes it is, the problem I see with shortening the stick is longer reach to grab it which would put me into the if it's possible to relocate it.

My concern with that is the extended reach needed to use it when it's cut off for me it is a big reach to get to it where it is right now.

I'm not concerned about getting on and off from the right side, I never use that side for getting on and off just for access to controls from outside.

With a cable control you can relocate the stick... and have custom length cables made to reach any location you choose... KennyV

Anyone figured it how to move the joystick?

Moving the joy stick on a BX is a major evolution as the valve is down below under the battery housing and operates through a bunch of rods and linkages. I already gave up on that idea. I have a post up now asking for advice on staking valves. I want to install a new valve array in the same basic area but have both FEL and rear remotes in that array. That gets rid of solenoid 3rd function extra hay also.
