I have a 5105 4wd, and I'm looking for a small scrapper pan to pull. Does anyone know of one in the Louisiana area??

I can't help you directly but maybe you would find that the words Speed Mover may help you in your search. In case one of these would work for you, there are thousands of these that were just used to build a pond and spend the remainder of their life rusting away out in the pasture. Most of these may be too large for your tractor but on occasion smaller versions can be located. Good luck in your search.

Have you given any thought to using a Box Blade? They can move alot of dirt without a great deal of Horsepower...

And they don't cost as much as a scraper, either.

Yea, I have a box blade. But I need a pan to cut out little ponds and to do smaller construction jobs that a big tractor can't fit on

Why do you think that a box blade will be less efficient for your job? I find that my box blade works very well for digging and moving a lot of dirt. Steve

I need to be able to carry the dirt. Dragging dirt with a box blade more than a few feet takes to long.

Yes. I pull some John deer 18 yds scrappers all the time at work

Yes I understand, but I really think a one or two yard pan would be ideal for my job

Pans are not that expensive around here. I sold one that was in like new condition 4 years ago for $75.00. It was a 2 yard pan.

I'd love to find one for $75....but I think we are talking about 2 different animals............I am guessing the "dirt pan" whistle pig is referring to looks like a scoop shovel mounted on the 3 point and the other dirt pans have at least 2 tires at the back and are pulled along like a reverse wheelbarrow once they are filled.

If you're accustomed to operating an 18-yard scraper -- you already KNOW how much Hp is required!

My cousin has a scraper just about like that one in your pic. He's got a JD 4450 with duals hooked up to it!!

I don't think your 5105 is gonna do the job!

Check these out: http://www.deere.com/en_US/ag/media/pdf/frontier/landscaping/dsfe41638_ll11_ll13_box_scraper_lit.pdf

Or this is a little cheaper option: http://www.deere.com/en_US/ag/media.../DSFE43683_Drawn_Box_Scrapers_LL12_Series.pdf
