I ordered a Red Iron Building (40' X 60') and I need to put it where I had my 45' container dropped.
So I hooked a chain to a pocket on the rear and then on the front and dragged the container about 10' each time. I moved it about 70' and turned it sideways from how it was sitting. After each move I had to remove the dirt piled up with the bottom rail.
You can see in the second pic the dead grass where it used to sit.
I needed Low/low gear, 4 WD and I ran the chain over the trailer ball bar on the three point and to the drawbar.

Impressive! I am interested in the building you plan on erecting. I am currently clearing land with plans to erect a building of the same size as you. What are the advantages of a "Red Steel Building?" Are they more cost effective when compared to other steel buildings, or pole barns? Can you install them yourself? Do you have to pour a slab first? Thanks.

Around here they refer to the commercial buildings that have the "I" Beam frame with 26 ga. skin as "Red Iron" buildings.
It requires an engineered slab for proper support.
I ordered a 40' X 60' with a 14' eave and 12/2 pitch roof with 3 door openings and a walk in door.
I just bought a 10 acre property with AG zoning and could have gone with a pole barn but this building probably be about the same price after meeting zoning/permitting.
I've gotten quotes from $17K (me furnish doors) to $24.5K plus concrete and installation.
The internet is full of quoters as long as you give up your name and email then they want your phone number too!
I could not find a standard building with price. They all want a custom quote.
A neighbor just installed a 40' X 50' by himself with friends. His wife told me the friends will probably start talking to him again after a while passes!! :)

Thanks for the info!! I will check around and try and get some quotes from CDN suppliers. I imagine it will be the slab that is very pricey.

How do they drop the container when it is delivered?

Here is how they delivered mine.
On a Landall and they tilt the bed and pull out from under it.
