B2710 HST Kubota - 2005
This unit has a hydraulic block in the rear area above axle on right side. Owners manual shows an optional adapter, which I have purchased, that replaces the block "cap" with in/out ports for hoses & says for use when implement is attached. (I will use a short loop to complete circuit when one isn't attached)

I have a new powerhorse splitter with open-loop type controller. I thought I would just hook right to that instead of taking off from the PB port up on the FEL control unit. (I also have a bobcat backhoe with its own controller that should plug into that adapter & work but haven't tried that yet either)

From what I can tell it should work but would love to hear from anyone with the same tractor (b2410, b2710, b2910 - I understand that optional rear block is only on certain B models) Apparently this option was meant for rear remotes but no one seems to know about it & say I need to use PB.

I want to do the simplest, most effective method for the rear remote capability for just my splitter & hoe that both have open loop controllers & it seems like that is what kubota had in mind but maybe there's something I don't understand too!

I have a similar hyd block on my B9200 that I use for a log splitter.

It has a switch that I can switch the circuit in or out.

Right now, it has a loop hose on it.

You can hook in there with the new plate if the plate has only a in and out hole. Right now the old plate just loops the oil out and right back in. The flow might be to low to run your splitter with any speed. I would try it and see if the speed is ok for you. You can always put the old plate back on or hook it into a valve for more rear couplers and that what it was for anyway.

So yours came with a on/off switch for that hyd circuit?...very cool, hadn't heard of that.

Specs on these little Kubota's hydraulics are pretty good. We live on abt 8 acres in the trees so I can't wait to start splittin!

Yeh I bought that optional adapter plate from the dealer. I had been searching all posts for a week trying to validate my thoughts so thanks for the confirmation on that.

The splitter is the smaller powerhorse and from the specs it should be a match for tractor. I am using the 3/8ths hoses which appears to match the size holes in in/outlets on tractor so we will see. I'll report back when I get er going later this week.

The nice thing, if this works right, is the compact nature of it, ie, 1' hoses to connectors at ROPS when I get it mounted.......clean & compact just like the unit.

J, I looked your pics over & mine appears to be a completely different animal, at least by looks.

Here's mine directly from the Kubota Owners Manual.

My B9200 is about a 1990 model.

It essentially allows another valve to be connected.

Port #3 is your pressure port to a FEL or a hyd circuit for rear remotes.

If you use this port for a FEL valve, then you would use the PB from the FEL for the next valve in series.

If all you had was the 3pt, the cover secured on the block allows the fluid to have a path from pump to 3pt. The 3pt relief valve would protect the hyd circuit.

If the splitter is all you will use, then you will need a loop hose to go from port 3 to 4 when you remove the splitter.

Be careful using QD's, in this circuit. If the pressure hose QD comes loose, you will have no protection.

However you could add an external relief valve before the QD going to the splitter.

It should work good. I wish my 7800 had that plate, I had to come off the FEL. No big deal just a little longer hoses and a bear to tee back into the tank. I had looked all over my tactor to find that plate and it came about, there wasn't one. Good luck with your splitter.

Yes, I've thought about putting a pressure relief valve there but will try it out 1st. I do also have that backhoe attachment but it has it's own controls of course, so I'll have to see if I may have to rearrange things for that.

Right now I just took the splitter back off cuz we are to get an early snow & where I live (at 8,000 ft) it can sometimes be a surprising amount!
