So where exactly is everybody getting this Amsoil? I checked the where to buy online and it appears to be sold by individuals? Is it some kind of Avon type thing?

My first purchase of Amsoil for my GC was from my local Napa store, but they did charge me shipping for the products I ordered because they did not stock the specific fluids I wanted, . Since then I have found out a close friend of mine is an Amsoil dealer, prices are far better then Napa and he does not charge me any shipping as long as I am not in a hurry, as he does only a couple of large orders a year and now I am good to go with fluids for a few years, :thumbsup:. I thought I might try the John Deere Plus-50 0W40 synthetic in my 1528. From their website:
"Excellent for other brands of diesel engines." I suppose it would be, if it's fine for JDs. It's their preferred diesel oil, and I'm interested in a synthetic for the most reliable possible winter starting.
