I have a Z445 Zero Turn mower that seems to have an issue with the right motion control. It's a bit stiffer than the left and is no longer matched for speed. If you put both full throttle, you don't go straight anymore but constantly veer to the right because the left over powers the right.

I expect I need to take it for service, but before doing so wanted to see if there is anything obvious I should check.

Take a look in your operator manual. I think there is a procedure for adjusting those to make them equal.

I don't know why would be stiffer than the other, possibly grass or something else on the controls or linkages. The adjustment for the speed regulation is a bolt at the base of the control arm, the instructions are in the manual. Also the correct size tool is the height adjustment pin for the deck.

Here is a link to your manual. Easy procedure to actually do.

It sounds like one of your steering dampeners are wore out. The one that's stiffer is still good. When the control levers move back and forth rapidly with little effort, the dampeners are shot.
