Most economical way to move tractor to dealer

I purchased my trailer after i purchased my larger tractor. My old trailer was not large enough. My newer trailer is a 14k tilt bed. Not only do i use it to transport tractor, i use it to haul lots of building supplies for the property.

A trailer is a must have in my opinion. Ive had the tilt bed since 2011, and use it so ofter ive lost count.

You might contact local wrecker services, and ask for a roll-back/car-hauler. The rental option works too, but might be time consuming and inconvenient. Also, I agree with others who say if it's only a short distance to the dealer, and it's road-worthy, just drive it. As for those who say minor service can be done by you (at home), that's true; but only you know your mechanical skills and comfort level.

You need to consider if you haul it yourself it will need to be secured with proper chain tiedowns to meet Dept. Of Transportation on road carry. Not saying you can’t properly tie one down but think of this.

Ok. This might be a little odd. I don't own a pickup or trailer yet and I need to get my tractor to the dealer. They used to pick it up and drop it off for $200 but they informed me they've been losing a bunch of money and have bumped up the fee to $450. Besides 'knowing someone' that I can bribe with a steak dinner what other options are there? I've found truck rentals for $90/day and a trailer rental for $75/day. That comes out cheaper but there is the time picking up both, at two different locations for both the tow there and back, and the drive time to and from the dealer.
I just bought a tractor from a guy about an hour away. This morning I posted on some local Facebook groups that I needed someone to transport the tractor. Within two hours I had three or four offers from $150 to $300.

Safe spot is the key.

Stalled in a part of the city tow operators will not cover after dark leaves few options… get the vehicle out or face the consequences…

During Pandemic was the one and only time my service van was dead on the side of the road… even a homeowner said it will be gone if I left it…

Tow operators would not come out until daylight…

I’d have no problems hooking up a chain and pulling it in that case. You don’t have good brakes and steering with a non running vehicle but if you drive accordingly it’s not that bad. While I was towing it I’d go all the way across the California border for good.

Good reminder not to drive your tractor through the drive-by-shooting area of town.
…and that area can be quite large… at least out west as they say… I’ve patched up bullet and shotgun damage several times…

Not directed at me but collateral damage.

I had to pay a fella with a ROLLBACK $125 to deliver a Hyundai to the dealer Googol shows as 24-26 miles and 39-40 minutes away.

Call your local mechanic shops to see who they recommend because "my dealer's" guy wanted $160 to come and get it. Is there another tractor repair place in your vicinity - do you really need to take it to 'the dealer?'

By the time you price a pickup truck and trailer each large enough to haul your Kubota, $450 might begin to sound like 'such a deal!'

With a "Gear Drive" I see no reason it couldn't be....you'd just need another driver to steer the tractor and work brakes as needed. This is - of course - for a short distance. It's probably not practical, but could indeed be done without hurting anything in the machine. JMO.
Last century, about 1973, one of my Army buddies bought an old Fordson, with engine frozen. We pulled it about 1.5 miles with my Jeep, him steering the tractor. On the last 100 yards of gravel into his house, he shifted into gear to try to break the engine loose...we lest two 100 yard furrows in the gravel. (But he had it running 6 months later)

That's just one way. the dealer might not be far from that price.
