Most Credible and Respected TBN Posters

I find it very difficult to call anyone credible who I haven't met face to face. Opinions that have been true/valid more than once? Yes. Credible? I'm not sure, maybe I'm just too old fashioned.

Guess I just categorized myself for the OP:ROFLMAO:

I'm going to have to go with my late father's best Yogi Berra attempt here when he said during a discussion, "Well, I'm gonna have to agree with me here." :ROFLMAO:

I'm sure there are more, but two I've taken notice of are BobRooks and PTSG.

I never really see either on the controversial or chatter threads. If they do, I don't see them, but they always show up on the technical threads for machines they're familiar with and often help people who are far more novice.

I know there are more, so list away. Use that criteria, technically proficient, willing to help those that don't know and avoid controversy.

If avoiding controversy is a key aspect, I guess you won’t be considering yourself. You start all the controversial threads. ;)

Can we include previous members?

Mad Referee was a very technical hydraulic guy and rarely controversial.

RickB is an excellent mechanic, non controversial.

SCpumpguy is an expert in regards to pump service, non controversial.

BigBarn is a "shop" expert with every tool known to man and a gentleman at all times.

I'm confused. This discussion was gone last night but back tonight. Or did I just drive through a time warp? I WAS making good time on the way back from my mother's house tonight... the afterburners were going for the last 80 miles I was on the interstate. 🚀
.
This discussion is precisely why I was against the FB button on posts... all it does is create an attitude of "who is best?" I suspect it's also symbolic the reason some of the most helpful members left... including a couple on the list above me.
There is absolutely no correlation between number of posts and how much somebody brings to the forums... some people say more in one post than others do in over 18,000. ;)

Eh, people come and people go, for many reasons. Given the demographic here, some simply pass away or may succumb to other age-related health issues that divert them away. Since many posters don't have personal connections outside the forum to others, most of those happen without the knowledge of any of us. They just disappear. It's less common that we hear about some like Shield Arc or Jinman.

But I suspect most of the drift is just normal and nothing to write home about. People lose interest or change interests over time. You get too busy. You spend enough time here, you have seen the same 30 questions asked 10,000 times and it gets boring so you stop checking. And of course a lot of people show up with a problem, get their answer and you never hear from them again. Or maybe again in 5 yrs when they have another problem. And after all, even you are Justpassing through ;)
