More production of crops less production of livestock

California guzzles millions of gallons of water from the Colorado River to grow alfalfa that they export to Saudi Arabia,

So are you saying it’s wrong for American farmers to export?

Not wrong, however not necessarily right either. If we are depleting resources to upright other places/countries, are we doing ourselves any favors? The shift from locally produced and procured to the “see your dealer” mentality combined with a customer service attitude of “sorry bout that”
makes me a tad nauseous.
alfalfa is running 10-13 / small square locally. wanna bet the Saudis Or whomever are paying less?

The Saudis trash their country when they drill for oil and export it to us, so I guess any country exporting is having the same issue.
When China manufactures everything for the rest of the world, they pollute the heck out of their country and deplete their resources, too.

yea, I get it doesnt mean I have to like it. They drill for oil, upcharge us to get it and decrease production to drive up prices. We send them food and don’t use the same tactics.
