Montana ZTR?

Looking for info on the Montana ZTRs, particularly the MZT 2860 Diesel. My dad has found what appears to be a really good deal on one, but I'm having a hard time digging up any info on them. Even getting another dealer to quote a price on one has been like pulling teeth.

From what I can tell, it looks exactly like a Bad Boy mower, even the specs appear to be the same. Are these manufactured by Bad Boy for Montana? Or, are they a copy made by someone else? The fact that they use the same Catepillar diesel engine makes me expect they are made by Bad Boy. If so, probably a pretty good mower then.

Anyone have any experience with them? We live close enough to Springdale, AR that parts/service shouldn't be an issue, but I like to have all the facts.

Wow, no one knows anything about the Montana ZTRs? Thats kind of scary.

The Montana ZTR was built by Bad Boy. Not a bad machine, but not a good zero turn choice for Montana for marketing reasons. They were buying from a company that sells direct at about the same price as dealer cost!!

If you like the machine and the price, it should serve you well as you have Bad Boy for parts and service.

As far as I know, there were no Montana specific changes made to the machines??

I have never stocked or sold them because of the price issue, and Bad Boy wouldn't talk to me about buying direct because I was a Montana dealer. I have since taken on the Dixie Chopper line and like what they have to offer.

Thanks, thats what I was looking for. Knowing they are in fact made by Bad Boy makes me more comfortable letting dad buy the mower. If the deal holds up he should be able to get the mower with 30 hours on it for about half of MSRP.
