No, it doesn't.

Well, what now? Not many reasonable suppliers left to source from. Chinese? Nobody's tried bringing any South American sourced rigs north yet, so, maybe that' s an option.

How long was the Branson/Kukje supplier agreement for? It can't possibly be more than a year or so from the way it sounded. Right now it sounds like many of the dealers may not have a lot to generate income or justify staying in business compared with their liabilites.....warranty work, overhead, etc.

Regardless, it sounds like Montana will have to completely renew their entire product line and do so in a very short period of time (6 months?) or they have nothing to market.

The dealers may now cover all obligations...........but if they're all gone in a year because the entity has ceased to exist it doesn't mean a whole lot.

Like we said a month ago, Montana's credit is not so good, thats what killed the deal

Wow. First Farmtrac now Montana, and LS will sell thier machines directly in the US.
Well, it could be worse news. At least guys like me who own the LS machines (hopefully)have a parts source.

I agree with the above.Montana is just a name on an LS tractor (for those who have LS tractors). As long as LS makes tractors I'LL rest easy!

According to Montana site it says they still have a supplier agreement with Branson:

February 3, 2010

SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS – Montana Tractors and DK Steel (parent company of Kukje Machinery Co., LTD and Branson Tractors, LLC) have suspended their joint venture conversations citing the current economic conditions. They will both continue in the US market independently of each other. Montana Tractors still has a supplier agreement signed with Branson Tractors, USA.

Back from the AG show in Tulare Calif. No Montana display there this year, at least not that I ever saw. They have had a good sized display the past few years, I would have to say that they are indeed in trouble. :( LS was there though, and they had a pretty good display.

Owned a T2734 for three years. Most all the problems I have repaired myself. Out of warranty now and I still have a few more to fix when it warms up outside.

Just purchased a 675DTC. for $17500.00 0% for 48 months. Alot of tractor for the money, I paid almost that much for the T2734. It nothing more than a heavy duty riding lawnmower.
I guess If I have problems with the 675 I will just repair them same as I do with my old Fords.
I have a 5000 that I have use the **** out of for twelve years and everything that has needed repair has been a simple fix. The 675DTC should last me a lifetime with no major problems, I hope.:)

Does anyone know if Montana dealers are getting parts, direct from Montana, for the Escort Montana limited tractors?

   / Montana Troubles Continue #13
Montana is still supplying parts for the tractors. The problem as explained by an ex Farmtrac dealer is that Montana has never been able to get new parts.
Parts on back order remains on backorder. They have stopped giving any timelines for new parts availability.

I was to the Louisville show and didnt see Montana there. Did I miss them? LS and Branson were there with a display.

Montana dealer in NC. No loader. That would run about $4000.00 more

I was at the Louisville Show also and didn't see Montana either. They were listed on the show guide I downloaded. I did see Branson and LS also.

I wrote Montana on Friday, January 22, 2010 and asked the following "Are you still going to be importing Montana 545 and 555 series tractors or are you just selling remaining stock?"

Montana's reply came on January 25th "We have available inventory of Montana 545 and 555 series tractors. As of now, we are selling the remaining stock of the Escort line, although Montana does have a parts agreement with Escorts so parts and availability of parts should not be a problem."

As for me I miss the old Ford Model 4000's and Farmtrak and now Montana were my last hope of getting one (essentially the same) in pristine shape. The Ford 4000 is kind'a like the old 55 Chevy, automobile manufacturing reached the pinnacle of perfection with that model year, there was no reason to make any new model of automobiles after that (same way with the old Ford 4000's).

Interesting that things from Montana tractors say springdale arkansas. I was in springdale last tuesday and drove by the montana tractor area. It is totally empty. The buildings are still there but If I remember correctly even the signs are gone.

I wouldn't count Montana out so quickly. I have had very good parts support for the green LS units, the blue Farmtrac's, and even for the red Special Editions. Let's hope that a deal works out with a new supplier and we can go back to business as usual. Right now, there are some great deals to be had on very reliable tractors. Montana is a great company, too bad there's no more sweet bailout cash flowing! Good luck Montana.
