montana model confusion

can anyone explain why and what all the differences are in the montana lineup? looks to be very confusing tryin to understand what the main differences are??

This is what I can make of it.

If it has a C after the number it is a cab model.
Just a number on the tractor, it is a basic tractor.
R series tractors are more deluxe.
U series tractors even more deluxe and newest model. I really want to see one of these in person.

Sorry that I don't know more, but I am just a guy that has been looking at them also. Hopefully one of the dealers that visit here will give us more info.

The first 2 numbers are the horsepower rating. For example, a 4344 is a 43 hp tractor. The last two I can only partly tell you. A tractor ending in 44 is a HST model, whereas a tractor ending in 40 is a regular shift tractor.

So, a 4344 is a 43 hp tractor with HST tranny.

I believe that all the R series have 44 at the end of their numbering and if it is an HST model, it ends in HST, like an R4944 or a R4944HST. Montana Tractors Tractors-Agricultural from Montana Tractors Can't remember to bet on, but that is what is on the website.
