Montana 5720 losing power puting out hay if theres resistance

I have been having trouble losing power while putting out hay when I run into resistance pushing thru some mud and loose hay I also noticed it looses power going up hill in third gear two . I heard someone had similar problem and it was EGR valve . is it common to lose power if EGR valve is clogged.

The term "losing power" covers a lot of ground. If you mean that under load the engine RPM drops off, that indicates a fuel/supply problem. If it means the RPM stays up but the tractor speed slows, that leads more toward a clutch problem. I have no idea how an EGR valve would factor in, but I suspect that information may have been a reference to something involved with injection pump/emissions components. Not likely a factor in this case.
