Can't shift out of low range into high range. I very seldom us high range now stuck in low.
Differential lock foot lever will not move either. I never use the differential lock.
Any ideas?

A first guess would be corrosion due to lack of lubrication.

Buy a can of BLASTER and spray all the linkage until saturated, once each week for a month.

Park in sunlight when possible.

Then separate all the pieces comprising the linkages. Heat from a torch or heat gun will probably help. Grease pivots and bearing points; reassemble.

Thanks. I will try that. Tractor sits is a unheated garage in northern Minnesota up to 8 months between uses. 2006 model turned 200 hrs today.

How many times in twelve years have you thoroughly lubed the tractor before leaving it to sit for eight months?

At least every other time I grease it. Never thought about shift linkage. I won't pass it up again.

I bought a rear ended 20,000 mile Corvette and put the running gear in my 54 Chev. I cant figure out how to put a pic on here. Drives like a dream. 26mpg on the highway or spin the tires about as far as you want to.

click that third from the right icon above the box you're typing in, click the 'choose picture', scroll through your computer to find the pic, then click it, then hit the 'upload' button and your pic will be there. In your box before you post, it will look like a link, but once you hit 'post quick reply' it'll show up as pics in the post for everyone to see :)
