Montana 3840 Best way to prime injector pump

After totally rebuilding engine including new block which meant everything had to be changed over after all together had a heck of a time getting injector pump primed but cam up with this solution pressurizing fuel tank a bit around 20 psi worked awesome but did have more issues cause after putting injector pump cam shaft in found that you can easily slide in too far tapped back out lightly with small hammer and brass punch and it worked great afterwards. After priming fuel filter I made up a lid ( the lid is from a agr weed chemical solution any farm supply has these you probably have 1 kicking around use lots of T tape around threads on fuel tank it fits pretty good will hold 20 psi but no more I blew it off once LOL :laughing with a gauge a T a valve and a quick coupler for air hose applied 20 PSI and wow there it was. all working. Just putting this out there for everyones interest.

I have pressurized the tank on my backhoe to prime it after a cleaning and filter change. I just found a large rubber stopper with a small hole that would fit over the tank filler. Held it big side down on top of the cap hole and blew in the small hole with an air blowgun. Hold pressure on it a couple of minutes and it fires right up.
