Good Mornin Guys,
Just a couple of shots, and Mom and Pop sitting on the porch, 85 years young, taking in the Vt foliage... :)

No sense bringing up old threads, I know thats kind of frowned on ...

My parents wanted to get a chance to see my new barn and some fall color, unfortunately this year was not so great, but a good time had by all ! :)

I feel very lucky to still have them around ! :)

Indeed, you are lucky to have your Mom & Pop still with you. They look very happy to be sharing the early fall with you. Do they live nearby and still drive? I was amazed a few years ago when we visited my wife's 90 year-old grandmother in Waynesville, Ohio and found that she drove herself to town for breakfast every day.

Good Evenin Jim,
Yep, Pop still drives, and they are both pretty sharp, he is still doing his watercolors and Mom still doing her crossword puzzles, way better than me I might add !!! :)

Actually he is still teaching art in the retirement community they live in and they wont let him quit ! ;)

Any news on your barn Jim ?

Yep, Scotty. I'm making very slow progress. I've located a place where I want to buy two carports so I can move stuff out of the way and keep it out of the weather. My old crooked barn is full of "stuff" that needs a new home and some to be sorted and sold. So, before I can put up carports, I need to level off a spot. That's done mostly, but I need about another 4' of excavation and have to move some more stuff to complete it. To move the stuff, I bought a set of pallet forks, but had some problems getting them delivered. In the meantime, I bought a used backhoe loader and started excavating a pond. The LBH developed a fuel leak and had to go back to the shop. Then. . . sigh! Do you see where this is going? I call it Rural ADHD Syndrome.:D

Good Evenin Guys,
Thanks for the kind words... They have been great parents through the years, and at some point in your life you get a chance to do for them, rather than they for you. So if your lucky enough to get that chance, you just enjoy the special moments... because they pass quickly. ;)

Yes Jim, I fully understand where your going with that thought, like waiting for one thing to happen before you tackle the next phase... oh gosh I have been there before ! ;)

Keep us posted ! :)

Great pictures as the years pass and you are as senior as your parents, listen to the breeze rustle the trees and you will know it is your parents saying all is good.

Good Mornin Wayne,
Good to hear you on again !

I was running the splitter thinking of you telling me that I should repaint it IH colors yesterday and wondering where youve been ! :)

The latest is buying and hauling an entryway stone for the barn, red and black granite out of Stony Creek Ct, thought it was appropiate working there hauling petroleum products from this area !

A couple of shots of that...

BTW sorry about the picture quality, will try and get some better shots, it really is a beautiful piece of red and black granite...

Hello Scotty,

Wow looks like a nice project, I am not sure if I would put that in the back ofmy truck!

I hve been on line a bit, but we have been spending time at camp and this weekend we are in Washington DC. Our daughter took us to the Washington mall yesterday believe it or not. tens of thousands of people there couldn't figure out what I was doing there.

Life does go on. Your place looks great!
