Almost anything within reason will plow snow, heard of guys using old water heaters cut in half, planks ect. All will move snow just that some do it better than others, I made a 7' for the CUT, then modified a 7' meyers that I now use and cut the other one down for dozer use only. As for tire chains we modified anything we had laying around, got a set of tractor trailer chains downstairs I am modifying to go on the 11.2x24's, one can do just about anything if you have some basic elements, time, money, ability, desire, knowledge, and of course equipment.

I have adapped chains it fit many difernt size tires. Thats an easy one. and cheap. You can find a nice set of'fits God knows what" chains everywere for cheap.

I also made up a set of front wheel weights for one of my Ingersoll tractors. So far they have worked AWSOME.

absolutely, thats the best part. making your own stuff, from putting small diesel engines in L&G tractors that have bad engines to making attachments. i recently made a sulky for the wife with a small little wood flat bed in the back to haul all the junk we buy at shows. and made a tandem seat for jr that can be attached to the back when he is with us. i tried to post a pic, but my camera doesnt resize down small enough.

i would imagine that a lot of folks have made very many things, and if you can imagine it, YOU CAN MAKE IT.

Here's a picture of my Ingersoll 224 that I put 4wheel AG tires on, homemade front wheel weights, and a modafided front weight box to offset the weight of the log splitter on back. Also added a hydrolic filter to it. The Ingersoll [and older Case] tractors are powerd by a true hudrolic system, but stock they came with no filter.
